Pre-Cooked, Frozen Meat

This is a tip that I learned from my sister a long time ago, and I love it... Oddly enough, she and her family don't eat much meat anymore, so I don't think she really uses this trick anymore
But, Here it is:
I precook almost all of my ground beef. It speeds up my cooking time and seriously makes my dinners come together 3x as fast as they do when you have to thaw your ground beef, then cook it, drain it, etc..
I put my ground beef in a pan and pre-season it with dried onions, garlic, salt and pepper and cook it until it is thoroughly browned. Drain off the excess fat, and let cool. I then package my meat into plastic bags and throw it in the freezer so that I have the right serving size for my family. When I go to make anything that needs ground beef, I just pull a bag out of the freezer and throw it in the microwave for 1 min and it is ready to go!
You can also do this with chicken- Cook or grill it, chop it up and freeze it. It is great for a quick addition to a salad- Josh LOVES when I have grilled chicken to throw on a salad.

That is a really really great idea! I hate having to defrost and then cook hamburger when I want to make meat sauce, tacos etc....brilliant!!!

I can't believe I've never thought of this before! Thank you, thank you, thank you. The reason I hate cooking a lot of meals is because I'm always having to thaw things.
